Cadmael Falaren

 

A life-long lover of the sea, he took to sailing at a young age.  His love of the sea grew deeper, but the actions of the crew made him feel more and more uneasy.  Eventually he confided to a young priestess about them.  Each time they made port in Ellsen Village she became his first port of call, so he could unload the stories of the travesties committed at sea, and they soon became fast friends. 

 

Over time, Verisiel, the priestess, converted Cadmael to the worship of Melora, and eventually he left his life as a sailor and studied the faith, to become a wandering cleric.  However, when Paramar took over the Isles, the temple was raided, and as when he returned there was no sign of Verisiel, or the others of the temple. 

 

Wandering lost, but still hoping to find his lost paramour, he travelled the islands.  Paramar, however, was forcing his religion, and in turn him, underground.  Through these underground channels he discovered the Order of the Piercing Light, where he made a new home for himself.
