Chapter 1

Darris Ryn. We finally arrived at our destination, and what a destination it is! Despite all that's happened, and all I have laid before me to accomplish I am quite excited to be here. The city has an air of wheeling and dealing, the multitudes of Paramar "Peacekeepers" be damned. Merchants and shady street vendors abound. Not to mention the vast wealth of knowledge buried in the libraries of the Magus College. There is so much here to experience.

Of course, as is proper of any true scholar, my first trip was to the college. Xander accompanied me to enroll, and hopefully learn to harness his magical abilities. I've tried to teach him some simpler evocations but, despite his natural talents, he seems to have all the retention of a rock. Perhaps the Masters here will have better luck.

Lore regarding the Aspects has become somewhat less of a priority here since our meeting with Keaala and Victor. They have told me where I might find the others to awaken, and given us more insight as to the purpose of doing so. Poor Cadmael and Dunn have taken the revelation rather poorly. Regardless, I've devoted my time in study to finding information as to the nature of Filigree, and other methods of breaking the curse of shadows on that poor ghost village. Very little luck so far.

I've been struck with the fancy of opening an inn and tavern here in the city. It would be nice to have some place to call home, especially for Anna, and with the amount of traffic an inn sees information and rumours could be easier to come by. Innkeepers always seem to know something.. It's worth, bringing up to the group, and retrieving some specifics from the city.
