One, The First Strike

Well congratulations you snuck a letter into my bag. Bet that took a lot of talent eh? It's embarrassing I just now discovered it was in my pack. I really don't want to think about how you got close enough to do this without me noticing. Do I really have to answer all of these questions? You know it's going to be forever before I actually can get one back to you right? Sod it, fine I'll answer your dumb questions.

First off Im just dandy peachy sweet is how I am. I mean it's not like one of my friends just died horribly on a mission I suggested. Actually you know what that's exactly what happened recently, imagine that. A Minotaur struck him down because I was paranoid and want an information network. Another friend is also spiraling down and blaming himself because of it. That stupid dwarf was a good man and deserved a lot better than that. Now we're just carrying his body in a sack like a stupid cluster of potatoes!
He loved to fly you know? The halfling I travel with, Kerin, she could make him fly and he loved it so much. He wanted to become the first Usari wizard. I don't care if you don't know what that means.

Am I sorry? I'm sorry for a lot of shit. I'm sorry for my friends, for being such a flighty and unreliable ally, and yes I am sorry for what you're talking about! Happy? I'm sorry, you're sorry, everybody is damn sorry! I'm so sick of apologies. What good are they? What's done is done and all apologies do is make the guilty person feel a little less bad about it. I don't want to feel better about it.

I'm done ranting on about this, and I need to stop talking about it or I'll just keep crying. I'm done crying. My traveling group's duty is far too important to let this break us down for any amount of time.

They're a decent gaggle of folks. I think you'd like them oddly enough. Kerin can be impatient and make risky decisions, but she's a true and loyal friend. Sharp as a blade to boot. The elf, Cadmael, it's hard to believe he can keep himself going and be there for us when he's got so much weighing down on him. Ursar was a dwarf from the bending rivers, he loved to eat and was learning how to read (tear drops have smudged the page making the next couple of lines hard to read due to missing words)

We had one other, but he's left us. I hope he comes back. We could use some good omens right about now.
My still living friends and I are on our way to talk to the future mother of Cadmael's child. Who happens to be royalty. Remember how I always said I don't like forest elves?

Anyways I think that answer's everything. I'll get this sent whenever I can. We really are in the middle of nowhere. Heading into a barren pit.
