I'm a title. Click here to edit me

My new companions have proved an interesting group. After toiling to gain the allies and resources we needed we were finally able to convince the king of the elves to surrender his foolishness for the sake of his people. Or rather, Kerin, Cadmael, and the princess were. It's good to know my companions are better speakers than I. I learned a lesson while out investigating with Nash about how my brash nature may not be the best for these types of things.

The battle that ensued after was brutal. The sweat and grime of the fight still clings to me as I write this. I was placed in charge of the animal armies with an ethereal badger named Carlisle as my ally. He was a very dapper creature I must say, and honestly quite adorable. He fought well in the battle maneuvering to make small strikes to the other enemy commanders and platoons. We decided to focus our main troops the badgers, to mobilize and eliminate the enemy catapults. We were able to remain hidden and pull out to strike down a couple of weaker troops along the way. Though we lost one of our own badger groups, we made it through with most of them alive and managed to completely eliminate the enemy siege weapons. The bears we had at our command fought valiantly, but the catipilts took many of them out in the initial wave. I am ashamed to say we could only save one group who fought viciously till the very end against the melee units.

My allies were fierce the offensive field. Kerin lead the satyrs with the Enchantress masterfully. Her healers are the reason so many of us will live to fight another day, and her warriors provided and excellent ambush unit to dart in and out. Kerin herself was quite valiant, she rode over the battlefield on her fey dragon raining spells on the minotaurs, it was quite a sight.

Cadmael was assigned to lead the elves. He fathered twins by their princess and has a bit of a whirlwind romance with her. It's the sort of romantic nonsense I can see you going star eyed over. He proved more than worthy of the honor she gave him though. He had the largest unit of all of us to command with healers, Warriors, casters, and archers. He was helped by another elf, Kit. He maneuvered his men masterfully and I think we can attribute much of our victory to his skills as a general, a healer, and a warrior today. It seems I was right in my initial observation he is a man worthy of great respect.

I can understand why the comments you made about him your last reply weren't very kind words. They were rather vulgar ones actually. However, he proved himself quite a bit out there. He lead a tribe of dwarves our new friends had recruited before meeting us with their shaman and lead warrior. They slaughtered a fair share of Minotaur and tore through the battlefield. Nash fought bravely with his platoon and they struck a sizable blow the rest of us were able to take advantage of.

We are victorious, but not without cost. People died defending their homes and way of life on that battlefield. I can think of no more dignified and honorable way to die. May their souls rest in peace.

I'm starting to get morbid and I know you don't like that, but I find it difficult not to be a bit somber considering the situation. At least we can make sure their sacrifice is not in vain. This is probably the last thing you want to hear, but I will be staying with this group until their mission is complete. I understand the dangers, now more than ever.

I just don't give a damn.

Sincerely Yours,

Song
