The Fall of the Light

Letter 4

 

I can always count on you to lift my spirit up. Thank you. I'm glad you understand. Anyways I'm afraid this letter will have to be cut short, I'm pressed for time and in the middle of some complicated business. It's almost like I haven't even left the Red Hand isn't it?

 

We picked up a new companion on the way, Ellas. He seems an honorable enough man and has been courteous thus far. He's quite handy with a blade too. We assisted him in finding some missing children, unfortunately we could not save them all however. A genie had turned them into monsters, and we weren't aware of it. I, don't think I can't bring myself to actually write out what is implied there. At least most of them survived to go home happily to their families. I wonder what that must be like, just running home to a normal, loving, domestic family. 

 

I'm getting maudlin again, sorry. I'll wrap things up. We stopped in a small village and learned of local murder. We decided to investigate. Also, please don't be angry, but I might have gotten myself in a difficult situation and had to break out the disguise kit and some new robes. No need to bore you with any more details I'm sure. 

 

Can't wait to get a reply back from you. I'd love to hear about what's been going on back in the city, and with you of course.
