Rogues Handbook 8
It's been awhile since I've managed to find the time to write in this. Perhaps because I haven't had the heart to do it as of late. Ursar is dead, and my insistence on going to the Red Prison is partially to blame. He tried to challenge the warden to a contest, and he won.
They attacked us, and Ursar lost. We carry his body in our bag of holding so we can bring it back to his tribe. I don't know much about his people, but I hope they realize what a damn fine man they've lost when we return him. He deserved better than this.
Cadmael's taking it the worst by far. I think this, plus everything else with Dunn and Melora is just tearing away at him. I'm trying to keep him cheered up but it isn't working very well.
I was so stupid. Why did I run into the other room? Why didn't I just stay and fight? Maybe I could have protected him then. Or maybe mistakes like this are just what happens when a stupid thief tries to play hero.
